Exactly one year ago today, M7 returned with Lip-lock and he's back again with another emotional cut. This one's for those peak time closing moments at the rave.
Crush is a really personal track for me. It takes me back to being a kid at a friend's house, where his older brother had a CD player with a stack of trance CD’s lying around. I remember putting one on and being completely blown away by how emotional that music felt. I'd never heard anything like it before. That moment stayed with me for years, and when I wrote Crush, I wanted to capture that same feeling. That sense of wonder, nostalgia, and emotion that made me fall in love with trance in the first place. Even though the track leans into techno, its' heart comes from those early memories. - M7
